#39 "For the Lord said unto me: They shall not go forth unto the Gentiles until the day that they shall repent of their iniquity, and become clean..."

I realize that some of the evidences that I give require serious study, cross referencing and deep thought... not to mention major paradigm shift.

I suspect some of them are hard to understand and seem somewhat vague while others are pretty straight forward and obvious...

Here is an evidence of the Marvelous Work taking place after the restoration of the Church that I think is pretty easy to understand and pretty difficult to refute.

In 2nd Nephi 27 it is speaking about the sealed portion of Gods word that is associated with the Marvelous Work and it informs us that those things in the book that are sealed up will not go forth in the day of wickedness and abominations of the people.

Wow! This is saying that the sealed portion could not be given to the the restored Church or the rest of the world because of their wickedness and abominations!

Read the following verses carefully:

"And it shall come to pass that the Lord God shall bring forth unto you the words of a book, and they shall be the words of them which have slumbered. And behold the book shall be sealed; and in the book shall be a revelation from God, from the beginning of the world to the ending thereof. Wherefore, because of the things which are sealed up, the things which are sealed shall not be delivered in the day of the wickedness and abominations of the people. Wherefore the book shall be kept from them."

I think it is safe to say that the sealed portion of the Book of Mormon has still not been given to the Saints and therefore, we still live in the time of wickedness and abominations! It is still being kept from us!

During the last 178 years... from the time of the restoration of the Church until today, the Saints have had the sacred words within the sealed portion withheld from them because of their wickedness and abominations... yet the Book of Mormon informs us that the Sealed portion comes forth at the time of the Marvelous Work when the Gentile church finally repents of their iniquity, becomes clean before the Lord and exercises faith in God!

Notice the following declaration:

"Behold, I have written upon these plates the very things which the brother of Jared saw; and there never were greater things made manifest than those which were made manifest unto the brother of Jared. Wherefore the Lord hath commanded me to write them; and I have written them. And he commanded me that I should seal them up; and he also hath commanded that I should seal up the interpretation thereof; wherefore I have sealed up the interpreters, according to the commandment of the Lord. For the Lord said unto me: They shall not go forth unto the Gentiles until the day that they shall repent of their iniquity, and become clean before the Lord. And in that day that they shall exercise faith in me, saith the Lord, even as the brother of Jared did, that they may become sanctified in me, then will I manifest unto them the things which the brother of Jared saw, even to the unfolding unto them all my revelations, saith Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of the heavens and of the earth, and all things that in them are."(Ether 4:4-6)

There you have an incredible distinction between the state of Gods Church during the LDS foundation movement in the second watch verses the state of the Church in the 3rd Watch when the Marvelous Work comes in!

The Saints in the 2nd watch are in a state of wickedness and abominations.. in the 3rd Watch the Saints repent, become clean, sanctified and exercise faith... even the same faith that the Brother of Jared had!

These two sections of scripture in the Book of Mormon provide clear evidence that the Marvelous Work did not come forth at the time of the restoration of the Church!

Dear Watcher,
Having begun a thorough study of your blog I finished reading all the Aug 08 posts. Now in September the drop down menu shows there are 28 entries, whereas I see only entries 39 thru 42. Where are the other 19 thru 38?

P.S. Can you upload an archive of all your post in one file?

You are right, they are not showing up. I don't know how to correct the problem.

I did notice however that if you will put the number of the post you want to read in the search feature, it will bring that post up.. example;
will bring up #44 and you can click on it and read the post.

Of course those numbers don't really represent the number of the actual post, but rather, the number of scriptural evidences supporting the doctrine of the three watches.

If you want to see the un-numbered posts that don't necessarily provide evidences of the doctrine of the three watches, you can click on the "newer post" link at the end of the post you have just read and it will take you to the next, newer post, regardless of whether it is addressing the three watches or some other topic.

Sorry about the corrupted archive feature.

I'm sorry, but I really have to ask: Did you really mean to say, "paradigm shit???" I got quite a kick out of it, anyway--cheap entertainment . . .

LOL Thanks for bringing that to my attention!!!

Hi Watching,

I've commented a couple of times now. In answer to my first comment you said that you have 55 posts on the topic of Joseph's second commission. I like the research that you have done even though I still don't agree with your conclusion that Joseph is the prophesied Servant that oversees the The Great and Marvelous Work. However, I've learned a lot from your posts and I wanted to read all 55. I would like to give your thesis an honest hearing, but I'm having a hard time finding them. I started on August 2008 posts where I found #2-#18. Then I went to September 2008 but the next post is #40. So I'm wondering what happened to all of the posts between 18 and 40. Also do you have an email address.

Sorry, I didn't read the other comments before posting mine. I'll try doing a search on the missing posts.
