#52 " Let them importune at the feet of the judge"

May I take this opportunity to say how much I dislike Courts, Judges, law enforcement personnel and our whole corrupt system of unconstitutional codified law?

Nevertheless, I have had a little fun with the system over the years.

My first speeding ticket as a teenager was on 800 south and about 1100 east in the City of Salt just going down the hill from East High School.

I have a friend whose sister was a judge and she coached me on how to handle it. I requested a jury trial, took pictures of where the police officers were with the radar guns to show that they would have been shooting the radar through trees with wind rippling through the leaves, got all the questions to ask, when did you calibrate your radar gun, bla bla bla etc. etc.

I showed up at the court and set up my projector and screen, asked the officer a bunch of questions and pretty much just tried to act like I knew what I was doing.

The jury deliberated for about 2 and ½ minutes and found me innocent.

Afterwards the prosecuting attorney who was in my ward, congratulated me and the judge shook my hand and told me that if he ever got a speeding ticket he wanted me to represent him.

It was pretty funny.

One of the reasons we moved our family out into the middle of nowhere five miles from the edge of the earth is to get away from oppressive law enforcement agencies. Unfortunately, they even make there way out to the ghost town where we live every once in a while.

A few years ago one of my boys was driving an unlicensed motorcycle down the highway when the deputy past him coming the other way.

When my boy noticed him turning around to come after him he shot off the road and darted across a ranchers field. The field had a fence around it so my boy was hedged in and the officer drove his car into the field and turned his spot light on.. it was just getting dark.

In the corner of the field there was some sage brush so my son laid the bike down and hid under the sage brush.

As the officer is driving through the field with is spot light looking for my son, my son calls me on his cell phone while hiding under the sage brush.

He briefs me on the situation and solicits my services in helping him escape.

His plan is for me to drive out to the side of the field and he will make a run for it hoping to get in my car with enough time for us to make our get away before the officer sees us and catches up with us.

AS I am walking out to my car amused by the fact that the apple hadn’t fallen to far from the tree, I heard the couple that lived down the road from us yelling at each other at the top of their lungs.

They had a very unhappy marriage and would get into fights once or twice a week.

Just then I had a stroke of genius and being the master delegater that I am I yelled through the door to my wife and said “quick! Call 911 and tell the dispatcher that the Beechers are having a domestic dispute and they are getting ready to kill each other!”

Being the submissive wife that she is, she tried to negotiate her way out of the deal but finally I was able to exercise enough priesthood power to and create a sense of urgency to get her to do it.

As I was driving down the highway to the scene of the crime, sure enough, the officer that had been chasing my son was racing back toward our little town with his flashing lights and siren on. I waved and smiled.

The get away was so easy it almost wasn’t even any fun.. but it made for a great memory.. and as I recall, there was no blood shed at the Beechers house so it was a happy ending for almost everyone.

Another time two of my sons got traffic tickets within a few weeks of each other.

Although I was not very happy with the boys, I was not impressed with either of the infractions either, I didn't feel either of them were worthy of extracting money from us.... I suggested that we request a trial for both of them and do it ourselves “Pro Se”

One of the tickets was for speeding on the highway by our home but there were no speeding limit signs for about 15 miles either direction. It didn’t seem right to ticket someone for going 10 miles per hour over the limit when no limit was posted.

I forget what the other ticket was for.. I think my other son and his friends had been towing themselves behind unsuspecting cars on the ice.

I got a little chart and drew a picture and did a little research etc. I really should have explained to my son what to do and let him have the experience but he was only 15 and felt a little intimidated by the court thing.

When we got to the court we met with the prosecuting attorney who wanted to work out a plea bargain with us, but we could not come to terms that were acceptable to us so we opted to move forward with the trial.

We had requested a jury trial which would have given us a much better chance but it was denied. (another constitutional right that has gone by the way side)

When it was our turn I began to state our case and the judge asked me who I was. I explained that I was the father of the boy that got the ticket. He abruptly told me that the court would not allow me to represent my boy since I was not an attorney.

I said “your honor, he is a minor and I am his legal guardian” the judge basically said “I don’t care.. your son can defend himself or he can plead guilty and pay the fine.”

My son looked at me horrified. He was not prepared to know what to say and this was taking him quite by surprise.

I whispered in his ear, “Just say you do want to represent yourself and you want to call your father as your first witness.. and then ask me what I know about the traffic signs in our little town.. that’s all you need to do”

So he did. “Your honor I would like to call my father to the witness stand”

The judge was not very amused but there wasn’t much he could do.

“Dad, what do you know about the ticket I got and the traffic signs on the highway by our house?”

That was it, I now had full control of the court and a much better seat than I had before at the back of the court.

I got out my little chart and spent the next hour pontificating on where all of the signs were and were not and what the various limits are on other similar highways and how frequent signs were required to be posted by law, etc.

From time to time the judge would ask the highway patrol guy to verify if he understood what I was saying to be true. The patrolman had to acknowledge that there were no speed limit signs posted in the area in question.

Luckily the patrolman was taken by surprise and was unable to answer a few questions.

Finally the judge apologetically told the prosecuting attorney that was a close friend of his that he was going to have to rule in favor of my son and he instructed the highway patrolman to get some signs posted within a week.

When I sat down with the prosecuting attorney to work out a plea bargain for the next case my other son was in, he was not interested in going 2 for 2 and he was much easier to negotiate with..

Now that I have primed you with some heart warming legal stories I am ready to present evidence #52 that the marvelous work and a wonder is a separate event with the first laborers returning for their second commission.

It is interesting to note that when the servants come back to redeem Zion one of the first things the Lord has commanded them to do is to importune at the feet of the judge for redress in taking possession of those lands that are to be redeemed for Zion.

The Lord gives us the parable of the unjust judge in section 101 to illustrate what is going to happen. You can get additional related information about this in section 124.

After the judge is not responsive, the servants will take it to the governor. After he is not responsive, the matter is to be taken to the President.

“If the President heed them not, then will the Lord arise and come forth out of this hiding place, and in his fury vex the nation and in his hot displeasure, and in his fierce anger, in his time, will cut off those wicked unfaithful, and unjust stewards and appoint them their portion among hypocrites and unbelievers; even outer darkness where there is weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

The Lord is very specific about who needs to be involved in this process.. it will be the first laborers of the last kingdom... the command was not given to President Monson.. people are going to return from the dead to do this... again, section 124 provides related info as well.

That’s one of the things that helps to start the strange act.. and it is not to far from starting.

Weird. I was just reading this section and these verses a couple of nights ago and was planning on writing a post about them. Perhaps, though, you could answer me a question.

I was under the impression that a redress of wrongs was, in fact, sought for, but denied. Checking the D&C Church Manual, it quotes Joseph Fielding Smith as stating, "The saints were also to carry their grievances to the proper tribunals and seek for redress of their wrongs. This was a very necessary step, and when the Saints did this and were denied their civil and religious rights, those officials were left without excuse, and the judgments of the Almighty which later came upon them during the Civil War, were justified. . . ."

I am not as familiar with all the history of this church as I should be. Are you saying that these instructions by the Lord were not carried out? Or, that they were carried out but not by the individuals spoken of in the revelation (the scattered children of Zion), and thus, the instructions were not followed to the "t"?

Someone who is watching said...

LDSAnarchy-

It appears there are actually two separate events that will coincide if not merge… or as you point out, one of them may have been fulfilled.

One is the petition in 101, the other is the proclamation in 124.

We know that ultimately, Zion is redeemed by blood. Whether the petition mentioned in section 101 needs to be repeated in the 3rd Watch or not I am not really sure… but I suspect that it does to justify the shedding of blood upon this generation… not that rejecting God servants isn’t justification enough for the shedding of blood.

The part that is really interesting, from a prophecy point of view is the commandment in 124.

One of the fascinating things is that in some ways there almost appears to be a “time warp” between the 2nd and 3rd watch wherein events simply begin in the 3rd watch where they ended in the 2nd watch…

Anyway, God was very specific about who the players were that were to help Joseph Smith write the solemn proclamation. There is not any evidence to suggest that they ever made this proclamation to the President and to the Kings of the World.

The President Elect at the time, as I recall loved listening to himself speak so much that he stood in a rain storm for an hour during his inauguration and died within a month or two. Held the distinction of serving the shortest time in the white house.

Did God know that he was going to be checking out? Me thinks so.

If you do some key word searches you will see that the proclamation is a huge event that begins things moving along in the Marvelous Work..

After the martyrdom, the quorum of the Twelve took it upon themselves to write and send forth a proclamation to the kings of the earth. It makes for an interesting read… as I recall, one of the Pratts wrote it. It fell on it's face… It was a nice try, but no cigar.

I firmly believe that one of the things that takes place in the beginning of the 3rd watch is that the real proclamation by the first laborers of the last kingdom will be made.

The $64 question is, why didn’t Joseph Smith and the others send forth the proclamation back when it appears they were commanded to?

The obvious answer is that God knew that the Saints would not repent and would not finish the temple and that the key would not turn at that time to unlock the dispensation of the fullness of times.

But the point I am making is, the commandment was given three years before the martyrdom and they were told to do it “immediately”. Why didn’t they obey the commandment… or was that the actual commandment?

Look at the wording very closely

“I say unto you that you are now called immediately to make a solemn proclamation of my gospel, and of this stake which I have planted to be a cornerstone of Zion.. This proclamation shall be made to all the kings of the world to the four corners thereof…

Notice that they were CALLED IMMEDIATELY.

What exactly was the Lord saying here? Were they being told to immediately send the proclamation to the four corners of the world? NO.

Were they being CALLED IMMEDIATELY to write the proclamation and seal it up to come forth in the 3rd Watch? Very possibly!

Remember the copper kettle that JS commissioned to be sealed and buried that was filled with personal items and records and documents? I have speculated that the proclamation may very possibly have been written back when commanded and sealed up to come forth at a later time…

On the other hand, it is also possible that the people mentioned were simply being CALLED IMMEDIATELY to the calling and that they will not even write it until they get back.. which should be pretty soon if they are considerate enough to meet my time frame.

As you know, the prophecy in gen 15 speaks of the 400 years after which the nation of Abrahams descendents will be judged.. I am the only heretic I know of that interprets that to possibly bring us to a target year period of April 2008 to April 2009 for the dispensation of the fullness of times to possibly begin.. (Therefore perhaps the chances are slim that I am right, but humor me for a while)…and of course the financial meltdown is moving along right on schedule.. they are propping things up right now, it is doubtful they can make it to April.

Admittedly I am simply speculating.. I am not claiming to be a prophet this is simply speculation but we know from EZEK, ISA, D&C 103 and other scriptures that we are going to have a repeat of the Moses-Pharaoh-Deliverance scenario in the 3rd watch.

If my timeline speculation is correct, the beginning of the exchange between he who is Like Moses and probably a descendant of Moses and he who is Like Pharaoh and probably a descendent of Pharaoh would need to take place pretty soon.

Now, here is where the scenario gets a little dicey and makes the hair stand up on my neck,

For the descendant of Pharaoh to be able to oppress Gods people, he would need to be ruling in the Promised Land.. How likely is that?

He would also, being a descendant of the ancient Pharaoh, be black, or partly black. How likely is it that a Black man would be ruling in America?

And according to section 124, the latter day ruler who is approached will be addressed as the “Honorable President Elect”

That can only happen at most every 4 years and in reality happens less frequently than that. How likely is that?

How likely is it that we would have a black President Elect in the year following the 400 years since the cross was planted on American soil and the land of America was dedicated to Jesus Christ?

I realize this is bazaar. But many of the stars have lined up.

Lastly, here is a fascinating prophecy predicting that the demise of the American Nation will come about under the watch of a descendent of Kenya

Kenyan Prophet, Johanwa Owalo, the founder of Kenya’s Nomiya Luo Church, and who among the Kenya people of the Luo religion is believed to be a prophet similar to Jesus Christ and Muhammad, and who in 1912 made this horrific prophecy about the United States:

“So far have they [the United States] strayed into wickedness in those [future] times that their destruction has been sealed by my [father]. Their great cities will burn, their crops and cattle will suffer disease and death, their children will perish from diseases never seen upon this Earth, and I reveal to you the greatest [mystery] of all as I have been allowed to see that their [the United States] destruction will come about through the vengeful hands of one of our very own sons.”

Certainly this is all just a coincidence, but I thought you might find it interesting.

I was referring only to the importuning part of section 101 (which is what I had been reading) when I wrote my comment. I hadn't consulted section 124 when I read your post. But now that you mentioned 124, and I am going over it, there are some very peculiar things, indeed.

My understanding of prophecy, which mostly comes from the prophecies that I've personally received, has demonstrated to me that the Lord fulfills prophecy in very strange ways. Nothing anymore surprises me. As the Spirit has been whispering to me about these days, I don't see any of this as coincidental or bizarre.

Thanks for the additional info.
